Settling into a schedule is a great thing, isn't it?!
For us, LL still wouldn't let people near her until about two months, but since then, she has been great at reading the situation and looking to me to see if it's okay for the person to touch or pick her up.
Her aunts, uncles, and grandparents can still only pick her up if she *needs* them to help her. Like when I tell her no, and she goes to ask one of them ;)
Josie will figure it out. And having her siblings to model puts her way ahead of the learning curve.
